Birthday Parties

at Crystal Springs Preserve

Ready to try something different for your child's Birthday Party Experience a party at the beautiful Crystal Springs Preserve located minutes from the New Tampa area. Crystal Springs Preserve is a 525 acre sanctuary devoted to environmental education and dedicated to the preservation of Florida's natural environment.

Sit back and relax while the Preserve staff takes care of everything.

The party package includes the following:

• choice of an exciting and educational program
• decorations and party goods
• vanilla ice cream, soda/water to drink
• and a party host to organize and run the party.

Food and cake can be brought in. No alcoholic beverages or smoking allowed on site.

Choose between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. party times on Saturdays. Guests can stay up to two hours at the preserve. Reservations must be made two weeks in advance. To make a reservation, please go to the Plan Your Visit menu and follow the directions for making an on-line reservation or call 813-715-9707.

Payment is required at the time of the reservation.

Birthday Party-Getting Buggy
Grades: 6 yrs - 8 yrs
Capacity: 30 people
Length: 1 hr
Description: They are icky, sticky, and gross! Jump antenna first into the world of insects! Discover what it takes to be a real bug. Join our naturalists on a bug hunt and collect as many different kinds of insects as you can.

Birthday Party-Camouflaged Critters
Grades: 6 yrs - 8 yrs
Capacity: 30 people
Length: 1 hr
Description: Join us in our lab to visit with our animal ambassadors. Get an up close look at some of Florida's reptiles and amphibians. Learn how these often misunderstood animals help out everyday!

Birthday Party-River Rats
Grades: 9 yrs and up
Capacity: 30 people
Length: 1 hr
Description: Take a tour of Crystal Springs Preserve habitats and explore Florida's magnificent aquifer system. Grab a dip net and perform a biodiversity survey. Catch and identify the invertebrates and vertebrates that live in the waters of the Preserve.

Birthday Party-Treasure Hunters
Grades: 9 yrs and up
Capacity: 30 people
Length: 1 hr
Description: X marks the spot! Join in the fun to search for buried treasure using hand-held GPS units. The most persistent hunters will uncover some of the coolest treasures around.

Birthday Party-Reptile Round-up
Grades: 9 yrs and up
Capacity: 30 people
Length: 1 hr
Description: Join our naturalist in the learning lab as they share some of the wonders of Florida's native reptiles. From small lizards to the largest alligator, get an up close encounter with these cold blooded creatures. Meet some of the animals that you are sure to encounter in Florida's wild places.
